Thaddeus Earl Penrod -

Thaddeus Earl Penrod, 85-year-old resident of San Diego, California, died Friday, August 7, 1981, in Provo after a short illness. He was born May 29, 18, in Liberty, Weber County, Utah, to Oliver Allen Penrod and Ida Pearl. On September 23, 1916, he married Margaret Daniels, who preceded him in death. He then married Mable Seelander on June 16, 1919. After her death he married Florence G. Noon on June 30, 1931, in Elberta, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti L.D.S.

He was active in the program and served as a missionary for the L.D.S. Church. He served in a branch bishopric and also on the stake high council. He was a High Priest.

He enjoyed camping and the out doors.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons and 2 daughters: Earl Gilbert Penrod of Elkgrove, California; Donald Lee Penrod of Fullerton, California; Mrs. Ida Farmer of San Diego, California; and Mrs. I. Jack (Joann) Bailey, of Orem, Utah. Two children preceded him in death.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and 4 sisters: Mrs. William (LaVon Ida) Keith and William G. Penrod, both of Elberta, Utah; Lloyd Penrod and Mrs. Melba Jensen of Goshen, Utah; Don A. Penrod of Payson, Utah; Vern A. Penrod and Mrs. LaDell (Mary Peterson of Provo, Utah; and Mrs. Kenneth (Lois) Tuttle of Manti, Utah.

Funeral services were held Monday, August 10, 1981, at 12:00 noon in the Goshen Ward L.D.S. Church. Interment was in the Goshen City Cemetery under the direction of Huff-Linde Funeral Home.
