He married Frances Atkinson, daughter of Thomas Atkinson, Sr. and Elizabeth ---, of Albermarle Parish, Sussex Co., Va. Records of Baptism show Benjamin and Frances had children between 1752 and 1773.
In 1769 Benjamin Adams, Jr. was executor of the will of Thomas Atkinson, Jr., brother of Frances. Benjamin was given land by Thomas (Atkinson), Jr. in this will.
In 1774 Benjamin and wife, Frances, sold the 100 acres of land in Sussex given to Benjamin in the 1756
will of his father.
In 1778 Benjamin and Frances Adams sold the 150 acres of land in Sussex given to Benjamin by Thomas Atkinson, Jr. in his (Thomas-#39;) will of 1769; but the deed shows Benjamin and Frances Adams living
in Tryon County, North Carolina in 1778 when this land was sold.
Benjamin and Frances had nine children all confirmed in Albemarle Parish

Benjamin died in 1783 in Rutherford Co., N. C. Sons Howell and Benjamin III were administrators of the estate and returned the inventory in 1784.
