"Bruce Floyd Barker, aged one year, son of Mr and Mrs Merle M Barker of Miller Farm Road, Cherrytree township, died at the City Hospital at 9:15 pm Saturday, following illness of about a week from whooping cough and pneumonia. The baby was born on February 16, 1939. Besides the parents, he leaves a sister, Betty Jane, aged 8, and two brothers, Richard Warren, aged 6, and John Monroe, aged 3 years. The body was prepared at the F H Flanders funeral home and taken yesterday to the home of the maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs R J Buchanan, on Trout Run Road, where services will be conducted at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, with interment in Greenwood cemetery."
