Mrs. Lillian Edna Akins, 610 Orange Street, died at 7:03 p.m. Friday in her home. Surviving are her husband and eight children. The body will be taken from the Crawford Funeral Home to the Church of the Nazarene at noon today and will lie in state until 2 p.m. when funeral services will be held. Rev. B. H. Head, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery."

Mrs. Lillian Edna Barnes Akins, 70, of 610 Orange Street died at 7:03 p.m. Friday in her home following a prolonged illness. Born in Mercer County January 26, 1886, she spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity. In 1905 she was married to George C. Akins.
Mrs. Akins was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and held a life membership in the Missionary Society of the church. Mrs. and Mrs. Akins celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.
Surviving are her husband and eight children, Howard Akins of Franklin; Mrs. Gladys Wilson, Mrs. Marian Dolby, Mrs. Alma Stevens, Melvin Akins, Mrs. Winifred Russell, all of Oil City; Rev. Kenneth Akins of Indian Head, Pa.; and Mrs. Lois Kelly of Ankara, Turkey. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The body is in the Crawford Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are not complete."
