Mrs. George H. Schwane, a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lakewood, died yesterday in her home at 2241 Alger Road in the suburb.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the church at Detroit and Arthur Avenues.
The former Anna M. Druschinski, Mrs. Schwane was born 79 years ago in Germany and came to this country at the age of 7.
Her husband, who died 15 years ago, was the owner of the Dress Suit & Rental Co. in the Arcade. The business is now operated by their son, George A. W. Schwane.
Mrs. Schwane was active in the Ladies Aid at St. Paul's, the Women's Missionary League and organizations in behalf of Lutheran High School.
Another son, the Rev. Walter Schwane, is a Lutheran minister in Warrenton, Mo.
Mrs. Schwane also is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Kleinhans, Mrs. Charlotte Daley, Mrs. Viola Lamp and Mrs. Ann Schurr; 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
The Erving Dress funeral home, 13443 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood is in charge of arrangements. The family has suggested contributions to Lutheran High West. [Published in the Plain Dealer (Cleveland, Ohio), Tuesday, March 17, 1959, p. 35.]
