Funeral services for Vina Bernice (Deckard) White, age 74, of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, TN were conducted from the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs, TN.
Interment followed in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Her family and friends served as pallbearers.

Bernice White passed away Wednesday evening, June 27, 2007 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born September 2, 1932 in Clay County, TN, the daughter of the late Millard Ray and Locie May (Eakle) Deckard. She was married to Leon Marrs White in 1953, who preceded her in death in 1968. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Shelby Jean Deckard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gamaliel Church of Christ.

Survivors include: daughters & son-in-law: Juanita Gail and (Danny) Knight of Red Boiling Springs, & Jennifer Cynthia (White) Pippin of Sparta, TN; son & daughter-in-law: Jerry Lynn & (Nona) Armour of Pleasant Shade; brother, Willis Deckard of Hermitage Springs Community, 8-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
