Bedford – Ora L. Rush, 86, of Bedford, died at 11:18 am on Sunday, October 13, 2019at I.U. Health Hospice House.
Born May 6, 1933 in London, KY, he was the son of Walter and Julie (Gregory) Rush. He married Estell (Morrow) Kidd and she survives. He retired from U.S. Steel in Gary, IN and from Indiana Limestone Co. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Estell, of Bedford; children, Brenda Heath and husband, Dave, of Smithville, GA and their daughter, Jessica Heath, Deborah Kundrat-Ritenour and Greg Maicki, of Hobart, IN and her deceased son, John Michael Kundrat, Donald Rush and wife, Sharon, of Mitchell and his son, Donald Anthony Rush, James Rush and wife, Shelly, of Indianapolis and their daughter, Jamie Lyn Skadra, Cheryl Brown and husband, Scott, of Bloomington and their son, Jacob Brown; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Cox, Betty Trowbridge, Helen Alexander, Laurie Koehlinger; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Benge; two brothers, Glen and Billy Rush.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
