Timothy Mark Couch was born in Denison, Texas, to Bobby Ernest Couch and Harlene Gentry Couch Turland on May 5th, 1962, in Denison, Grayson County, Texas. Family and friends called him “Tim.” His grandparents, William Ernest Couch and Marguerite Harriet Stillwell Couch, as well as his uncle, Paul David Couch, called him “Timmy.”
Tim went to school at Lake Highlands, Richardson, Texas. He was married to Joy Wilson Couch on September 20th, 2009, by Reverend Kevin Couch, in Cartwright, Oklahoma, at the home of his step-mother, Doris Couch.
Tim worked as a truck driver for Texas Moving Company for 10 years. Tim was an avid fisherman and loved the water. He enjoyed being outdoors and camping with his friends and family. His family came first in everything he did.
Tim is preceded in death by his father Bobby Ernest Couch, brother-in-law David Savage, and stepfather Don Turland.
A the time of his death, Tim was survived by his wife, Joy Couch; sisters, Cheri Savage and Melanie Tawater (Stephen); brother, David Couch (Karin); stepbrother, Bobby Jr.; stepbrother, Robert Couch, mother, Harlene Turland; stepmother, Doris Couch; uncle, Paul David Couch; 12 nieces and nephews; 10 great-nieces and nephews, all of whom loved their uncle Tim very much.
A memorial service was held for Timothy on October 13, 2019, at Williams Memorial Chapel in Garland, Texas. Tim’s immediate family and extended family were in attendance. A number of his old friends from grade school and junior high were also in attendance. Various family members spoke at the service, all relating how much Tim loved his family, and people in general.
