Bonita “Bonnie” J. Newbury, 60, of Cornell passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born the daughter of Theodore and Dolly (Johnson) Eppers April 10, 1948, in Cornell. She attended School in Cornell and married Duane Newbury April 17, 1965, in Cornell. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Cornell and had worked for several years at Paradise Shores Restaurant in Holcombe. She was a good homemaker and mother and loved and spoiled her grandchildren. She enjoyed her hobbies which were growing flowers, reading, baking, gardening and ceramics.

Survivors include: her husband, Duane; three daughters, Barbara Landis (Rich Immormino) of Jim Falls, Diane DeMars (Dan Forbush) and Deanna (Tom) Hall all of Cornell; two sisters, Sandra (Gary) Slagle of Park Falls and Renee (Dave) Ekum of Cornell; one brother, Tom (Rhonda) Eppers of Abbotsford; her mother-in-law, Jane Newbury of Chippewa Falls; and grandchildren, Andy Haroldson, Nash DeMars, and McKenzie and Jacob Hall. Bonnie was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Ted Eppers; and one sister, Judy.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 12 at Faith Baptist Church in Cornell with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.
