Brave, strong & resilient, Joe at the young age of 18, was serving the Army valiantly as a Sergeant, surviving brutal combat during the Korean War. Throughout life he was respected for his strength & integrity. Joseph embraced life full throttle, winning car races in the N.H.R. A. with his inaugural 1969 GTO Judge. He enjoyed & commanded, fast cars, boats and motorcycles. Water skiing, jumping waves, one foot on the slalom ski & one foot in the handle.
Larger than life, he lived every young man's dream. Hunting, fishing, deep sea diving, cattle drives, branding steer, roping, breaking wild horses, building bridges & mining in Colorado. He could construct a home from slab to roof & maintain a Mercedes Benz as a Certified N.I.A.S.E. Master. A Graduate of General Motors University of Management at T.C.U. & on the Advisory Committee for Mechanical Apprentice Program at Cedar Valley College. He was a brilliant man, who knew no limits.
Accomplished & respected with a sterling career in automotive management, serving many of the largest dealerships in the world. Recipient of a life time of service excellence & manager of the year awards & President of automotive Service Managers Clubs. He was proud of his long association with Mercedes Benz & his management experience spanned 60 years, including Director of Service & Collision and eventually owning Partridge Collision Center. Reluctantly he retired at the age of 82. Member of Brookhaven Country Club, Mary Immaculate Catholic Church & Veterans of Foreign Wars. The center of Joe's life, was always his love and total devotion to his family. He truly loved mankind and was generous & unselfish addressing the needs of many.
The youngest son of 14 children. Joe lost his beloved Mother Hazel Ernestine Ruick Partridge at the age of 9. Preceded in death by his Father Sidney Lee Partridge & all of his siblings, except Susan Higgins married to Dan Higgins.
Survived by his loving, devoted wife Julie for 48 years and four children, son; Roger Partridge and wife Vivian; daughter, Verna Rosebrock and husband Richard; daughter, Misty White and husband Lee; daughter, Shannon Tibbits and husband Larry; 8 wonderful grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
Joseph dedicated his life to all of us and we will love him always, until we meet again in Heaven. We love you dearly and will always cherish your memory.
Love Your Family Visitation & Rosary will be on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 The internment will follow the mass on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, with military honors, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas 75211. There will be a luncheon reception following the interment at 3:30 pm at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
