Original spelling of married name is Tarillo. My 2nd Great Grandmother.

Maria Teresa Gilio was born in Vaglio di Basilicata, Basilicata, Italy.She was the sixth of seven children born to Francesco Antonio Gilio & Caterina Iannuzzi.
Maria married Vincenzo Tarillo on October 8, 1898 at "Santo Pietro di Apostoli" Church in Vaglio di Basilicata.

They had three children together, Maria "Mary", Annunziata "Nancy" and Caterina "Kitty".
Maria came to America, with her first two young daughters, to meet her husband, who had made the trip the previous year. She arrived in 1905 via Ellis Island.

They settled in Kansas City, Missouri.
