Thomas Ben Ford, a 35-year employee of Bethlehem Steel Co. in Sparrows Point, Md., a Korean War veteran and devoted family man, died last Tuesday of complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was 83 and was living at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home in Northeast Philadelphia. His wife died in 1992. He moved to Philadelphia in December 2002 to live with his daughter Tawana Ford Sabbath. Besides his daughter, he is survived by two sons, Ralph and Kelvin; another daughter, Sylverna Ford; two brothers, Lloyd and Norman; three sisters, Constance Speight, Mattie Robinson and Catherine Sanderson; and six grandchildren.
