Fern is survived by her two sons, Tim Gudridge, David Gudridge (wife Nicole), three grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, and Alexa Gudridge and her sister Marian Smith.
She is preceded in death by her husband Russell Gudridge, her parents Carl and Louis Barlow of Sparta Wisconsin, her sister Marie and her many companions throughout her life Budders, Rocky, Misty, Sasha, Precious and Hilde.
She served our country as a civil servant from the pentagon to Peterson Air Force base and places in between for many years. Her second career was in the beauty industry and finally with Mary Kay cosmetics.
Fern will be greatly missed by all who worked, played, prayed and loved her. She was a mom like no other. She gave life, she nurtured all those that she knew, she fought for those that could not fight for themselves and she did this with unconditional love. There are not enough words to describe how important Fern has been to her community and her family but her lasting memory will continue to influence all that she touched. A private burial will be October 24, 2019 at Ft Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to the following: Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado at 2315 Bott Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904 or Companion Animal Clinic, 2873 Dublin Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918.
“Life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mother.”
