Son of John William Gorrell and Ada Ellen Heady Gorrell. He married Augusta Lenore Brewer on January 21, 1918 in Jasper county. Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Paul (Jean) Nix, Mrs. Frank (Evelyn) Smith, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Gumfory. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Madaline Gorrell. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
