James H. Campbell was born in Nova Scotia on the 13th day of August 1822 and died at his home near Eastman Wis. on the 12th day of Nov. 1891.

He married Isabel Nelson on 21 Jan 1847 in Portland Parish, St John, New Brunswick, Canada.

The departed was united in marriage with his now surviving wife in 1847, and they came to this country in 1857. They were blessed with 11 children all living but one. The following children were present at the funeral, which was conducted by Rev. H.E. Erffmeyer, at the house of the departed on the 14th. inst. Mrs. Maggie Baumeister of Boscobel, Mrs. E. Wallen, Mrs. L. Thompson, Mrs. B. Bonney, Mrs. A. Finney, Miss Julia Campbell, Mr. C. Campbell, Mr. James Campbell, and Mr. Edward Campbell.

One daughter, Mrs. S. Thomas, who resides in the state of Washington was not present at the funeral.

Mr. Campbell also raised four grandchildren. Mr. Campbell was a good husband and kind father. His wife, ten children, and many friends mourn his departure.

Father of: Margaret Jane, Sarah Matilda, Edward Daniel, Ellen Elizabeth, Mary Letitia, James H., Charles E. Alexander, Isabelle, Ida May, Julia M., and Lizzie.
