Margie Elvine Adams, age 80, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1939, in Lauderdale County to Percy Davis and Comilla Adams.
Funeral service for Mrs. Adams will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Paul Sain and Lendale Long officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Dwight Adams, Deborah Ehrenburg, Sandra Yancey (Tim), Mikel Adams (Serena), Minie Newman, Michelle Turner (Eric), Kimberly Gist (Glen), Lloyd Adams (Teresa), Monica Bennett (Chris) and Norman Adams (Amanda); 34 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Glover, Aggie Glover and Pam Reyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Adams; son, Keith Adams; three heavenly children; seven heavenly grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
