Ms. Dorothy Jean (Causey) Hayward, age 62, of Bremen passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

She was born in Bremen on Saturday, June 1, 1957. Ms. Hayward is the daughter of the late Homer Lee Causey and the late Eunice Geneva (Williams) Causey.

Besides her parents, Ms. Hayward is preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda Causey, Glenda Truett, and Lee Massingill; and by one granddaughter, Kimberly Simpson.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mickey (Beth Batchelor) Simpson, of Ranburne and Michael Pierce of Colorado Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane (Michael) Noel of Bremen; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Glenda Causey of Villa Rica, Jerry and Mary Causey of Tallapoosa and Johnny and Cheyra Causey of Buchanan; six grandchildren, Bentley Rowell, Lori Anderson, Kaylee Bonilla, Jacob Peyton, Haley Nicole Williams, and John Luke Simpson; two great-grandchildren, Colton Anderson and Dawson Bonilla; six nieces, Cindy Rainwater, Mandy Causey, Tina Bearden, Valerie Davis, Stacy Setlock, and Tammy Williams; four nephews, Shannon Simpson, Wayne Causey, Chris Causey, and Jeremy Williams; a cousin, Barbara Benson; and a number of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 6P.M. until 8P.M. and Friday, October 25, 2019 from 6P.M. until 8P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 4P.M. from Hutchesons’s Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Clarence Sinkler, Reverend Shane Leggett and Reverend Ronnie Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in New Brooklyn Cemetery in Temple with the following pallbearers: Shannon Simpson, Chris Causey, Johnathon Austin, Jacob Peyton, Jeremy Williams and Jeff Gann.

John Luke Simpson, Wayne Causey and Jacob Cobie Lee Smith will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
