Barbara Silver, age 72 of Boone, Iowa died at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone on October 21, 2019.
Following her wishes, Barbara was cremated.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life, will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of the Eastern Star Masonic Home.
Following the Service, a time of fellowship and refreshments will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. in the Recreational Room of the Eastern Star Home.
A Graveside Service and burial will be Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Squire Boone Cemetery, south of Boone.
Barbara Ann (Jipp) Silver, was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 20, 1947, the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Knox) Jipp.
Barbara graduated from Boone High School in 1965, where she was a cheer leader and honored as a Homecoming Queen.
On December 2, 1965, Barbara married Richard W.Silver in Boone, Iowa.
In 1982, Barbara graduated from St. Joe’s Nursing School in Sioux City, Iowa, receiving her Registered Nursing Degree.
Barbara worked as a nurse and Certified Care Manager.
She enjoyed shell collecting, reading romance novels, and working a variety of puzzles books
She is preceded in death by her father and a brother, Charles Jipp.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard of Boone; a son, Richard B. Silver of Woodstock, Georgia, two daughters, Michelle Jungling of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Natalie Silver of Woodstock, Georgia; her mother, Eleanor Jipp of Boone; two sisters, Lori Lavender Jipp of West Des Moines, and Debbie Lindburgh of Elkport; three grandchildren, Nathan and Clayton Jungling, and Madison Silver; several nephews.
