Rosa Lee was the daughter of John Higley and Arminta "Mintie" Burchett Woods of Floyd County, KY, USA.

She married Melvin Hall, son of Robert Lee and Martha Williams Hall also of Floyd County , on the 16 Apr 1904 (which was also her birthday) in Floyd, Pulaski, KY, USA at the home of her parents. Witnesses were J.N. Hall and W.B. Hall.

Melvin and Rosa Lee Woods Hall had at least 8 children; Minnie, Willie, Robert, Ester, Sabie, Johnnie Lee, Hubert Preston (who died on the Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor) and Elwood.

Rosa Lee went to Paintsville, Johnson County, KY for brain surgery but died from a brain hemmorage on Sept 12, 1944.

According to her record of death she was buried in Banner, Floyd County. Strong inclination is that she may be buried in this cemetery but there are many cemeteries listed here under Banner, Floyd County.

It leaves one to wonder where her place of rest may be until further evidence is brought forward. A photo request will be made of this Hill Cemetery.
