Beatrice C. Currigan, 81, passed away December 12th, at the Delmar Gardens of Lenexa where she lived. She was born in Parsons, Kansas, and had lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. Mrs. Currigan was a secretary for Local 124 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 25 years, retiring in 1976. She was a Catholic. Her husband, John T. Currigan, died in 1967. She was survived by a son, Thomas J. Currigan, of Clever, Missouri; six daughters, Mary V. Malone of Shawnee, Bee Cecil Young of Kansas City, Martina A. Jarnevic of Creighton, Missouri, Rita L. Mills of Omaha, Nebraska, Marjorie A. Carpenter of Stilwell in Johnson County and Christine Stallman of Spring Hill in Johnson County; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren
Friends called on Wednesday evening, December 14th, at the Muehlebach Chapel, where the Roary was recited later that night. Services were held on Thursday morning at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown. The family suggested memorial contributions to the Western Missouri-Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
