Dennis Gene Boone was born March 12, 1954 at Madigan Army Hospital in Lakewood, WA to Ronald and Phyllis Boone. He died on July 10, 2019, in Tacoma, WA at the age of 65, from CJD, a quick and rare illness.

He was preceded in death by his loving father and grandparents.

Dennis was born and raised in Tacoma but had lived most of his adult life in Oroville, WA where he spent many hours fishing, hunting, gardening, landscaping for others and dredging for gold. He loved the outdoors and the appeal of small city life.

He is survived by two daughters, Carly and Jenefer, his mother and step-father, Cal and Phyllis Hemming, his "favorite" sister, Tracie Hartman (Erick), 3 brothers, Ken Boone (Suzanne), Jim Boone (Danette) and Mike Boone (Meredith), his best friend, Rob Lawrence (AnDee), a special grandson, Isaiah (Kayce), 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and many other wonderful friends and neighbors. Dennis was a very caring and generous person to anyone who crossed his path. He was known for his bright smiles and big hugs.

We know that his reunion with his Dad, grandparents and others who have gone on before was a joyful one. We love you, Dennis, and look forward to our future reunion with you. See you on the other side!

There will be no public memorial held in Tacoma. Our family spent private time together celebrating Dennis' life.
