RACHEL LaVAE ESCUE, 18, passed away on July 7, 2007 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, 2095 Appling Road, with the service to follow on Saturday July 14, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens, Germantown Parkway. Rachel is survived by her parents, Mark and Jencie Escue; her sister, Jamie Escue; her grandfather, Barton Glass; her grandmother, Joan Wilson and a large extended family. Rachel was an honors graduate of Bolton High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. She was a member of the Key Club, the newspaper staff, and a four-year player of the powder-puff football team. She taught gymnastics to pre-schoolers at River City Gymnastics. She was to attend the University of Memphis in the fall with plans to be an opthamologist. Rachel was born with a smile that never left her face. She lived each day to its fullest. She had a spontaneous, fun personality. She adored her family and was devoted to her friends. Rachel will live on in seven individuals that received her donated organs. The family would like to thank the TICU staff at the Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care. Thank you also to the infinite number of friends that continue to support the family.
