Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Barnhill, 47, of Rt. 4, Fannin Road, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, from the Pearl City Baptist church, with the Rev. James Chap man and the Rev. George L. Phllips officiating. She became ill suddenly Thursday night while attending the football game between St. Joseph Academy and Pearl City school, and was rushed to the Baptist hospital where she died at 1 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Barnhill was the former Annie Lee Cotton, daughter of Mrs. Ida Mae Robertson Cotton-Thornell and the late John Cotton. She was a native of Macon, Miss., but had lived in Rankin County, Pearl City community, since 1928. She was a member of the Pearl City Baptist church.

Besides her husband, William Everett Barnhill of Pearl City, she is survived by two sons, Thomas Earl Barnhill of Jackson and Mevin Leon Barnhill of Florence; six daughters, Mrs. G. M. Elliott, Mrs. Hilton Richardson, Miss Mary Evelyn Barnhill, Miss Eloise Barnhill, Miss Shirley Ann Barnhill, all of Jackson, and Mrs. H. P. Osborne of Jacksonville, Fla.; her mother, Mrs. J. B. Thornell of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. H. E. Goodwin of Mobile, Ala., and seven grandchildren.
She is also survived by two half-sisters, Mrs. Robert Worksham and Mrs. Estelle Pace, both of Jackson and four half-brothers, Grover Thornell, Irvin Thornell, Ellis Thornell, all of Jackson, and Henry W. Thronell of Mobile, Ala. Her body will be at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home until the funeral hour; after which interment will be made in Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be B. H. Winstead, W. K. Bell, Chasteen Flynt, Claude Mangum, Rueben Henderson, Jean DeWitt, D. A. Hegwood, and Lacy Stephens.
