Lucinda P. Norris is the daughter of Clark and Sarah Fry Patterson. Lucinda was a well known writer on temperance subjects and died of infirmities at the residence of her son John C. Norris on Cypress Avenue. Her writings on temperance topics attracted nationwide attention. In 1881 she received a personal letter from the late Whitelaw Reid, former ambassador to England, complimenting her on her works. Lucinda has been a widow for 57 years, her husband died in 1898. She was survived by a sons J.C. Norris of Columbus and Ellery Norris of Canyon City, Colo. her funeral took place at the West Park Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. G. E. Tift officated with burial following in Green Lawn cemetery on the 23rd of November 1915. Her interment no. is 48451. Undertaker was "The Egan Undertaking Co." and cause of death was listed as "Senility". NOTE: Lucinda P. Norris has no monument.
