Pat Van-Coker
Pat Van-Coker, 81, a native of Magnolia, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2012, in El Campo, Texas, with her family by her side.
Visitation is 3 p.m. today at Triska Funeral Home of El Campo. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of El Campo. The Rev. Rick Dubroc will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Van-Coker was born Nov. 10, 1930, in Magnolia. She was the daughter of Claude W. Van Sr. and Alma Kelly Van.
She was a devoted wife and mother and will be remembered for her love of church, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, C.W. Van; and her sons-in-law, Curt Schwab and Dan Yockey.
Survivors include her husband of 62 loving years, Grady Coker Sr.; children, Cheryl Yockey of Sugarland, Texas, Candy Gerberman (James) of Richmond,Texas, Robbin Smith (Mike) of El Campo, Grady Coker Jr. (Susan) of Needville Texas, Dr. Tara Coker Devin of Sugarland and Blaine Coker (Kim) of Orchard, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Trey, Dustin and Brian Yockey, Steven Gerberman, Abby Ormand, Rachel Schwab, MichaelAnn Smith, Brittney and Matthew Coker and McKenzie Jones; three great-grandchildren, Jake, Cole and Savannah; a sister, Leola Crawford of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her brother, Ronny Van of Hogchain; a brother-in-law, Clyde Coker Jr. and wife Mary Ellen of Magnolia; and numerous extended family, church family and countless friends.
Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Pat's family wishes to thank Czech Catholic Home, Houston Hospice of El Campo, and Kayla Spradley and Eugenia Phillips for their tender care of Pat and her family during her illness.
