LINNEY. Mr. Herbert Theodore Linney, eldest son of Postmaster B. Linney, died at the home of his father, on fourth street, yesterday morning about eleven o'clock, after a lingering illness of consumption. He was twenty-four years of age. Mr. Linney was forced to seek a different climate about four years ago on account of his health, and went to Colorado Springs, where he remained until about six months ago, when he removed to Arlington, Texas. While at Colorado Springs he held a very lucrative position in the post-office, but his failing health forced him to go to Texas in the hope that the climate there would benefit him. He continued to grow worse and came home last April, where he has since remained. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon by Rev. J. O. A. Vaught, assisted by Dr. Pearce at the family residence. The interment was at Bellevue Cemetery.
