Mrs. Helga Norem, 68, died at the Anker hospital, St Paul Wednesday Oct. 15. She had not been in the best health all summer but not until Sunday did she go to the hospital. She came to American from Norway when she was 14 years old. She lived in Clintonville where she married Knute Norem at the age of 21 years. They came to Boyceville in 1911. Her husband died in 1917. She remained here until 1925 when she moved to St. Paul and made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Berglund. She is survived by seven children: Henry of Boyceville; Mrs. Alma Bancroft, Elmwood; Mrs. Helen Russell, La Crosse; Mrs. Agnes Christianson, Irene Norem and Mrs. Evelyn Berglund, So. St. Paul; Elmer of Beloit.
The body was brought here Saturday for burial. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment was made at Hay River cemetery.
