Fred Waldo Jermain, age 69, Goshen, passed away Friday, March 7, 2003, Payson, Utah.He was born May 12, 1933 in Goshen, UT a son of Waldo E. and Naomi Dodds Jermain. He married Kathie Christensen. They were later divorced. Fred served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Dugway Proving Grounds after 33 years of service. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and his woodworking projects. He trained race horses at the Payson Race Track for many years. He was a Charter Member of The Racing Association. He especially enjoyed his family and supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Jermain, Mark (Leslie) Jermain, Ryan (Evelyn) Jermain, all of Salem; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Beverly Roberts, West Valley City, Shirley Taylor, Mesquite, NV, Kathryn Wilson, Oxford, OH, Marian Provstgaard, Payson; and brother, Nick Gardner, Sandy, UT. Services will be Tues. March 11, 2003, 1 p.m. Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 W, Payson, where friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. or Tues. one hour prior to services. Burial, Goshen Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Goshen American Legion, Post #123. The family would like to express appreciation to the doctors, nurses, family and friends for the concerns and special care that was given to their father throughout his illness.
