Helen Aileene Amrine of Longview passed away March 30, 2009 at Hospice. She was 86.
She was born Nov. 6, 1922 in Randle, Wash., to Ralph and Rhoda (Marcum) Moorcroft. Helen graduated from Randle High School in 1940 and on Nov. 8, 1942 she married Frank.
Helen was a devoted wife, mom and grandma who enjoyed gardening, camping, activities with her grandchildren and loved being with her friends. She was a faithful and active member of her church. Helen is survived by her sons Fred (Janet) Amrine of Castle Rock, Joe (Kirsten) Amrine of Longview, and Robin (Dana) Amrine of Sammamish, Wash.; a sister, Garnett Hageman of Longview; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Amrine; daughter Rhoda Brown; brothers John and Joe Moorcroft; her twin brother who died at birth; and a sister Barbara Takehara
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church of Longview.
Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
