AUSTIN, TX- Mary Grace Serio Bindo, born on July 17, 1919, a 4-year Austin resident, went to be with Our Good Lord on July 11, 2007 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Mary was a long-time resident of Shreveport, La., where she attended Fair Park High School and St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Emmanuel Bindo and her daughter Mary Elizabeth Peters. Preceding her also in death were brothers Camille, Charles, and Anthony and sisters Lucille Britt and Frances Burnley.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Elaine Bindo of Austin and by brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Bobbye Serio and sisters Teresa Emerson, Rose Gray, Sarah Carbone and Mae Dauman. Mary leaves behind one grandson, Christopher Peters of North Carolina and two granddaughters and their husbands, Dana and Sean Fallon of Austin and Emily and Joseph Cox of Dallas. Her seven great grandchildren are Timothy, Tess and Andrew Fallon and Joseph, David, Stephen and Audrey Cox. Mary will also be missed by Gary and Linda Peters of Spring, Texas, parents of Christopher, and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday July 15, 2007 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church with Rosary to be recited at 3:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday July 16. 2007 at Forest Park West Cemetery.
