The Warren County native was a retired fireman for the Bowling Green Fire Department. He was a member of Ray's Branch United Methodist Church, an Army veteran and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a former board member of the Richardsville Fire Department, a former paramedic for Warren County Ambulance Service for several years, a former deputy constable for Jerry Young and past president of the Warren County Bass Club. He was a son of the late Talley Curtis and Mary Bledsoe Curtis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Curtis; and a sister, Ruth Thomas.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mildred Rone Curtis; four sons, Tracy Curtis and his wife, Pam, of Brownsville, Stacy Curtis and his wife, Jann, of Oak Lawn, Ill., Jeff Curtis and his wife, Teresa, of Bowling Green, and Brandon Kitchens and his wife, Kayla, of Smiths Grove; a daughter, Shelley Clark and her husband, Steven, of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Sarah Grace of San Antonio and Amanda Curtis, Levi Curtis and Sally Curtis, all of Bowling Green; a great-grandchild, Colton Kitchens; a stepgrandchild, Brandon Cline; and several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral is at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
