Robert A. Alexander

Harvard resident Robert Alexander, 75, died Sunday June 10, 2001, in Hastings after a short-term illness.

Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Harvard with the Rev. Katherine Bullard officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery. Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Alexander was born Aug. 7 1925, to Harry and Elsie (Muth) Alexander in Crieghton. He attended school in Royal and served in the U.S.Nvy during World War II. He married Mariena Coble. They divorced. On July 24, 1964, he married Dorothy "Pat" Patterson. He worked at Hastings Industries and retired in 1987. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Verterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former member of Harvard Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors are his wife; three daughters Nancy Norvell, Dory Richardson and Rohnda Jeager; two sons Robert O. Alexander and Timothy J. Alexander; one sister Darlene; three brothers Sherm, Harry "Junior", and Larry "Butch"; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
