Dennis I. Enestvedt was born on April 3, 1931, on the family farm in South Sacred Heart Township to Alfred and Edna (Samuelson) Enestvedt. He was baptized and confirmed at Opdal Lutheran Church south of Sacred Heart. He grew up on the family farm and attended Country School. Dennis served his country in the United States Army from 1953 until his discharge in 1955. He returned home to the family farm and he began farming with his brother Alan. Dennis devoted his life to caring for his parents, which he did for many years. Dennis loved life on the farm and spent much of his time working and tinkering in “The Shop”. In later years he continued to visit the farm check on what “the boys” were doing. For a number of years Dennis joined Alan and Verla in Texas, and enjoyed getting to know the people he met there. He was the family historian and enjoyed sharing family history. Throughout his life, Dennis treasured his time spent with family for holidays and special events.
Dennis is survived by his sister-in-law Verla; his nephews and nieces: Steve, Dean, Kathy and Lynn; and nine great nieces and nephews, and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edna, and his brother Alan.
