Bessie Barton
Bessie Phillips Barton, 91, of Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 14, 2010. She was born January 11, 1919, in Graceville, Florida, to Daniel Joseph and Nancy Rachel Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Barton Sr.; daughter, Glenda A. Dutton; and son, Dale Barton.
She is survived by her son , Max H. Barton Jr.; brother James "Jimmy" Phillips ; granddaughter, Deborah A. Dutton; son-in-law, James Dutton; and specila caregiver, Donald Whyle.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Landegent, Mike MacMullin, Randy Dorriety, Mark Laramore, Bill Bradley, and Bobby Joe Phillips. Those desiring make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 4001 W. 23rd St. Suite C. Panama City, Fl. 32405, in memory of Bessie Barton.
