Marshall Franklin Schronce, age 83, of Will Schronce Road in Iron Station, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Schronce was born November 30, 1935, in Catawba County, to the late Grover Henry Scronce and Eva Mae Smith Scronce. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Carrie Lee Reep, Robert Scronce, and G.H. “Junior” Schronce. Marshall served in the United States Navy, and then worked as a greenskeeper.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Norwood Schronce, of the home; three sons, Rocky Schronce of Lincolnton, Scott Schronce (Patti) and Reggie Schronce (Tisha) all of Iron Station; a daughter, Sissy Schronce Carpenter (Chris) of Lincolnton; a brother, A.Z. Schronce of Iron Station; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
