Gwendolyn Nan "Gwen" Pentecost Lipford Barger, age 68 of Jackson, passed away on November 12, 2019 in Jackson, TN.
She was born in Jackson on May 10, 1951 to the late Thomas and Nannie Pearl Pentecost .
She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Maplewood Nursing Home. She was also very active in the St. Mary's Manor community and a 1970 graduate of South Side High School in Jackson, TN.
She is survived by her daughter, Melony Lipford Shelton (Scott) of Jackson and Scott Lipford of Jackson; two granddaughters, Lauren Grace Shelton and Adley Kate Shelton of Jackson.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Mercer, TN with a graveside service in Maple Springs Cemetery following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Maple Springs Baptist Church, 155 Maple Springs Rd., Mercer, TN 38392.
