LATE DOWAGER DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND.
TO BE BURIED AT TRENTHAM.
In accordance with a clause in the will of the late Duke of Sutherland . . . the Dowager Duchess Mary Caroline is to be buried at Trentham.
Her coffin bore the inscription:
Mary Caroline DUchess of Sutherland.
Born 21st July, 1848.
Died 28th May, 1912.
. . . the remains of the lady will be interred in the Trentham Mausoleum on Friday next. We understand that it is most improbable that any member of the Sutherland family will be present.
