OBITUARY – MRS. BEMMERL
Catherine Poa was born in Austria, September 22nd, 1868, and passed away January 9th, 1937, at her farm home in Franklin. She came to America April 27th, 1891, and was married to Joseph Bemmerl May 4th, 1891, at St. Luke's church at Plain where they spent most of their life except for six years that they lived in New Ulm, Minnesota, and ten years in Spring Green. Mrs. Bemmerl was the mother of twelve children, the first three dying in infancy. She was also preceded in death by Anna, who died in 1927, Catherine in 1929 and Joseph A. in 1932. Her husband also preceded her in death in May 1935. She is survived by the remaining four sons and three daughters: John of Detroit, Michigan; Robert, Plain, Wisconsin; Anton, Chicago, Illinois; Mrs. Melvin Jorgenson, Beloit, Wisconsin; Herman, Mazomanie and Mrs. Walter Engelking, St. James, Minnesota; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Bemmeral was laid to rest in the family lot in the new St. Luke's cemetery at Plain. Funeral services were held at St. Luke's Chapel at Plain, January 11th, conducted by the Rev. P. A. Beschta. Card of Thanks. We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for help and sympathy extended us during the illness and after the death of our mother. THE CHILDREN
