Mrs. Winona Rose Burford Adkerson, age 44, of Barnesville, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 in Griffin, GA. Mrs. Adkerson was a native of Spalding County, but had lived in Barnesville for most of her life. Daughter of Mr. William Larry Burford and Mrs. Barbara Dean Buice Burford, she and her husband were the owners of Carpet Surplus in Griffin. She was a member of The Barnesville Church of The Nazarene.
Survivors include: Her Husband - Mr. Eddie Adkerson of Barnesville ; 1 Son - Jeremy Kyle Adkerson of Barnesville ; 2 Daughters - Kristen Paige Adkerson and Kaila Nicole Adkerson, both of Barnesville ; Her Parents - Larry & Barbara Burford of Barnesville ; 1 Grandchild - Nijah Fambro of Barnesville ; 1 Brother - William Dean (& Melanie) Burford of Jefferson, GA ; & 1 Sister - Denise (& Terry) Burford Bush of Forsyth.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Winona Adkerson will be conducted Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 11 O' Clock in the Barnesville Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Eugene Wiseman and Rev. Harold Latham officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The Family will receive friends here at the funeral home Monday (7-16-07) evening from 7 pm until 9 pm.
