LOLA M. ANDERSON, Caro, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at Tendercare of Cass City. She was 65.

She was born July 21, 1933 in Sanilac County. She spent much of her life in the Thumb, with the exception of a period of time in the Detroit area. The Andersons have lived in Caro for 28 years.

The former Lola Spencer and Donald Anderson were united in marriage on August 7, 1954, at Port Huron.

She was formerly employed as a teacher's aide at Schall Elementary School in Caro.

Mrs. Anderson's favorite interests were being with her husband and her family, interacting with children, in addition to her own, baking, board games and collecting rocks.

Lola was a member of the Wahjamega Country Church, served as a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the Gideons, and a board member on Child Evangelism Fellowship.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Anderson; four children and their spouses, Kathy and David Bradford of Hockessin, Delaware, M/Sgt. Robert and Kathy Anderson of Vacaville, California, Karen and Robert Wood of Howell, Craig and Jody Anderson of Eau Claire; 15 grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy Jacobs of Cadillac; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Neil Surgent of Tustin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Anna Spencer of Gladwin and Robert and Judy Spencer of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Spencer.

Funeral service was held at Wahjamega Country Church Saturday, January 9 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Harrell officiating. Burial was in Indianfields Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Gideons or the Child Evangelism Fellowship. Funeral arrangements were made by the Colton Funeral Home of Caro.
