LIEUT. COL. JOHN E. BOHNSACK, 39, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Bohnsack of 2039 Bellemeade, was fatally stricken with a heart attack in Saigon, Vietnam, Saturday.

At the time of his death Bohnsack was attending an officers training school in Saigon. He had been stationed there since November.

He spent most of his 19 years in military service on assignments in finance. He planned to retire in November.

His family said he had no known heart ailment.

He was graduated from Bosse and attended Lockyear's Business College.

His military career also included a five-year assignment in Germany.

He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Surviving besides the parents are children, Debbie 18, Lisa 9, and Jay 10.

Alexander Funeral Home-East Chapel will direct the funeral.
