In his will, dated 08 Sep 1885, he leaves one dollar to each of his children - Winfield N. Allen, Mary E. Biglow, Joseph H. Allen, Charles E. Allen, and Willis G. Allen. To his granddaughter, Maude A. Badger, he leaves a piece of property. To his daughter, Florence A. Badger, and granddaughter, Florence Gertrude Badger, he leaves all of his remaining estate - money, tools, property, furniture, etc. - "for their kindness to their mother during her last sickness." He requests that they give his daughter, Lizzie, a present of what they think best.
