Services for Laura Anderson, 95, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Hankson officiating and the Rev. John Williams assisting. Burial was in West Side Cemetery in Lorenzo under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
She died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at Crosbyton Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1907, in Giddings.
She married Albert "Buck" Anderson on Dec. 23, 1923, in Moody, TX.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in Lorenzo. She moved to Lorenzo in 1941 from Moody, TX. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Anderson in 1951; and three daughters, Doris Lauterdale in 1966, Alberta Anderson in 1949 and Lucille Anderson in 2001. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Albert "Buck" Anderson of Lorenzo; nine sons, Claude L. Anderson of Odessa, Ervin Anderson of Lubbock, Ira Anderson of Lorenzo, Edward Anderson of Amarillo, Willie Anderson of Lorenzo, S.R. Anderson of Amarillo, Robert D. Anderson of Lorenzo, A.Y. Anderson of Lubbock and Charles Anderson of Lubbock; two daughters, Ruby Byers and Daisy Anderson, both of Amarillo; 40 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
