Bailey was the sweetest cat ever born! We got Bailey by chance one night when we went to pick up some groceries. There was a lady with a box with three kittens in it. My husband liked the fluffy orange tabby(Hannah)and I was instantly attached to the quiet short haired orange tabby sitting in the corner of the box(Bailey). After awhile, we decided to get both cats. Bailey was very gentle and kind. He loved to sit in your lap and he loved to be petted. He was very understanding and seemed to know when you've had a bad day. It was then that he was extra kind. Bailey loved ice cream. If you sat down to eat a dish, he would be at your side, hoping for a lick. Bailey was good with our children. He was especially close to our daughter, Taylor. They spent a lot of time together playing. Bailey was a "cat dog." He would beg for food and would come to you if you called him. We nick-named him "Bay Bay." Bailey and his brother Hannah (we thought he was a female until we got them neutered) were very close too. They would curl up together with their stomachs touching and wrap their paws around each other and sleep. Bailey was taken from us suddenly when we discovered he had kidney failure. He was lethargic for a couple of days so we took him to the emergency vet and discovered the horrible truth. We tried treatment for several days, but he got worse. He was struggling to breath and could no longer walk. We made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. We were by his side when he passed. It was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. I promised him that his memory would live on and we would never forget him. Rest in Peace Bailey!
