Martha Ann Greer passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was 64 years old born in Shelby, Ohio on April 8, 1955 to Gardie Russell and Cynthia Ellen (Branham) Crose. A life-long area resident she graduated from Shelby High School in 1974. Following high school Martha was employed at Richland Newhope Industries for many years as a bus driver, helping her husband with their family business GT Welding, and retiring from Hampton Inn. Martha enjoyed baking, sewing, fishing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Larry Greer whom she wed on January 7, 1983 along with their children Angela Thomas (Dave Harris) of Mansfield, Elizabeth (Terry) Ward of Perrysville, Judy (John) Fisher of Shelby, Randy (Guenever) Greer of Mansfield, and James (Tinamarie) Greer of Waycross, GA. She was most proud of her grandchildren Kirsten and Brandon Corwin of Galion, Olivia, Owen, Olyssa Fisher of Shelby, Jacob and Logan Greer of Ashland, Tristen Greer and Kyla Doubek of Waycross, GA, Cheyenne (Josh) Greer-Ford of Fort Gordon, GA, Carter and Griffin Thompson of Mansfield. She has three brothers James “Eddie” Crose, George Crose, and Joe Crose all of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents along with her sisters Sandra Porter and Wanda Copher, grandson Joseph Brown, mother-in-law Martha Ellen Greer and sister-in-law Linda Joyce Perkins.
Funeral will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, November 11, 2019 from the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Reverend Hank Webb will officiate with interment held in Springmill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 Am to 12:00 PM.
