Nelson K. LaFrenier, 81, of 4 Highland Ave., died this morning in the Henry Heywood Hospital, Gardner. Born in Winchendon, July 11, 1887, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Christian) LaFrenier. He lived in this town 75 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Azelle (Cormier) Bernard LaFrenier. He was emplyed for many years by the former Baker Manufacturing Company and more recently by Garlepy Products Company. He was a member of St. Anne's Church. Besides his widow, he leaves a son, Arthur LaFrenier of West Harwich; a daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Jatkola of Westinster; four stepsons, Andrew of Lancaster, Lionel of Leominster, Emile of Colchester, Conn., and Joseph Bernard of Miami, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Favreau of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Alice Powers of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Jane Lafountain of Copperes Cove, Texas; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday from the Lamoureaux Funeral Home, Gardner, with a Requiem High Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Anne's Church. Burial will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.
