DOROTHY L. BEYER BLAKE, 79, of Egg Harbor, formerly of HAZLET, died Monday, July 16, at Meridian Nursing Home, Brick. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ's Wesleyan Church, Egg Harbor. Born in Newark, she lived in Hazlet before moving to Egg Harbor in 1986.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Blake Sr., in 1996. Surviving are two sons, Edward L. Blake Jr. and his wife Debra of Freehold, and Douglas Blake and his wife Susan of Brick; a sister, Beatrice Brydon of Bound Brook; four grandchildren, Douglas, Edward, Kerri and Joseph; and a great-grandson, Doug Jr.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Route 88, Brick. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
