Gordon Mccollum Schrimsher passed unexpectedly on November 19, 2019. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren lovingly called him Papaw.
He served for 47 years for the Department of Mental Health at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking and especially being with his family.
Mr. Schrimsher is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Brenda Schrimsher. Sons Paul (Beth) Schrimsher and Greg (Elizabeth) Schrimsher. Grandchildren Hattie Schrimsher and Sarah Ann Schrimsher, John Schrimsher and Joseph Schrimsher; brother Barry (Heidi) Schrimsher and brother in law Don (Rabiab) Berry.
Gathering of Family and friends Saturday November 23, 2019 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 12:00noon until 2:00pm Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
