Ann Jennette Bunch Beals, 86, of Hertford, NC died Monday, November 18, 2019. She was born July 27, 1933 in Elizabeth City, NC to the late Herman Edwood Bunch and Flora Chappell Bunch and was the widow of Daniel Woodrow Beals, Sr.
She was a school teacher and librarian at United Faith Academy in Charlotte, NC and a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Joy Rhodes (Al) and Judy Johnson all of Elizabeth City, NC, and Tighe Simons (Linda) of Emerald Isle, NC; a son, Dan Beals (Susan) of Elizabeth City, NC; a sister, Barbara Leigh Boynton of Hertford, NC; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, Robert Beals; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Kenneth Beals (Debbie); and a brother, LaVerne Bunch. The family would also like to acknowledge her very special caretaker Delphine Taylor.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. Donald Waltz, the Rev. Larry Privott, and the Rev. William Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home; immediately following the service at the church.
