Marilyn Delores Jackson

Marilyn Jackson passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 at age 85. She was born in Long Beach, CA where she met her husband, Tom, who was stationed there in the US Navy. They married in 1953 and raised their family in Lakewood. They were among the founding members of St. Pancratius Catholic Church. Marilyn was actively engaged as a volunteer for the church throughout the years. She also was a volunteer for the Iacoboni library in Lakewood for many years as well. She received an Associate degree in History from Long Beach City College after her children were raised. While at college, she developed a passion for pottery and the many products of her creative talents are enjoyed by all who knew her. After her husband retired, she spent much of her time travelling to all parts of the globe with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Tom of 65 years, five children; Charlotte (Roger), Amy (Brad), Tom (Joyce), Lorraine (Adam) and Philip, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister, Susan and many nieces and nephews.
